2017 a year in review

2017 has come and gone, but I always like to look back at the highlights of the year.
2017 was filled with many highs and some lows but this year proved that God is control and miracles really do exist. We enjoyed so much family time this summer, and welcomed a new season of life with Brynn starting school.  The girls are growing up right before my eyes and I'm over here just trying not to blink.

We spent January all three of us girls sick with a stomach virus, breaking in new Christmas toys, and enjoying the first cold front of the year.  After months of worry and stress, God showed he hears our prayers and my dad was cured of cancer.  Being the biggest blessing of our 2017 & our highest high.

We celebrated Valentines and spread love with acts of kindness.

Christmas 2017

This Christmas was so magical and fun.  Jolie's participation and concept of the whole thing really made it even better this year!

Christmas eve we woke up and found that Puffy and Sheppie had left us all the stuff to make Jesus a birthday cake.  We do this every year and eat if for breakfast on Christmas morning.

That night we got all dressed up for Christmas Eve Candlelight service.  Brynn performed Happy Birthday Jesus on stage for the whole congregation and it was so beautiful.  She looked like a little angel on stage and I was so, so proud of her.  And honestly, that was the best gift of all this Christmas.  I have watched the video over and over a million times listening to her sweet sweet voice sing to Jesus.

After service my parents came over for appetizers and we hung out and watched the girls crazy with energy run and play around the house, so excited for Santa.  We read the Night Before Christmas and sat out the milk and cookies and headed to bed!

Christmas morning magic did not disappoint and Santa treated them real nice this year. They must have been really good ;)  Top requested items were delivered: the wedding barbie for Brynn and a doll for Jolie. & they got a real kick that mom caught Santa standing next to their rooms!

That morning everyone came over for Christmas breakfast and to see what Santa brought the kids.  The girls sang happy birthday to Jesus and blew out his candles. And the afternoon was spent playing with all the new toys and naps all around.

That night we headed over to my parents for Christmas presents and dinner.  My mom did a wonderful job making all my grandmothers traditional recipes.  It is everyones favorite meal of the year and we really look forward to it.

It was another wonderful Christmas.  We are truly blessed.
