T W O year old pictures happened this past week, and I am just so in love with how they turned out.  Perfectly capturing the sweetness that is our little girl.

Just wanted to take the time to jot down some two year old goodness.

Weight: 33lbs (home measurements)
Height: 35 inches (home measurements)

You little missy miss are full of so much personality.  Equal parts spunk and sass.  So kind, loving and such a concern for others and their feelings.  At the same time so independent, wanting to do it all yourself and show us that you can.  You love to get a laugh out of everyone and are always trying your best to make us laugh at you.

I'm 99.9 % sure you would spend all your time outside if you could.  You absolutely love to swim in the pool, float around...jump off the stairs, have daddy throw you up high in the air.  You love everything about it.  You love to run around the back yard and look for all the lizards that are hiding and squeal with excitement when you finally find you.  You have an absolute love for the water hose and ask daily to go outside and " use hose!"  You love to go for walks in your stroller with Lilly by your side.  Calling out along the way " duuuuucks where are youuu, I'm cominnnn"
If we are inside you like to try to read to Lilly, push Lilly in your baby stroller...pretty much anything that involves torturing I mean loving on your little fur sister.  You love love to rough house, and you can get enough!  Being thrown around, tickled til you can't breathe you name it, the rougher the better.  You are totally into princess movies at the moment and they really suck you in.  Totally in awe.  Favorite game at the moment is hide and probably demand that your dad or I count at least ten times a day.  You hide in the same spot every single time.  Behind the couch cushions if on the couch or behind the pillows if on the bed.

Our once ravenous little piggy monster has offically chillaxed a bit.  You are more of a grazer these days and much prefer snacks throughout the day than to sit and have a big meal.  You are totally into fruit...and that is your go to most of the time.  You are always demanding "mo berries" (more berries) which consist of any kind, but your favorite is strawberries.  You also love love the tiny cutie oranges and can eat me out of house and home when it comes to those babies.  You love to sit at the table with us and are getting very good at saying prayer with us and using your please and thank yous.  Such a fun time together.

You have always been a fabulous sleeper and we will forever be grateful for you consistently giving us a full twelve hours every single night.  You go down at 7:30 and wake at 7:30 just like clock work.  You take one nap a day about 12;30/1 until 3.  You love to go to bed and never ever fight me, in fact many times you ask when its time.  You still love your blankies and your paci.  It will soon be time to give that up, but for now you only get it at nap and bedtime and it makes you so happy to be reunited :)

The way you love bugs and are always wanting to rescue them out of the pool.  How whenever we are going outside...whether it be to take the garbage out, get the mail etc you are right there running behind us screaming "Iiiiiiiimmmmm comiiiiiiin."  How you love love love to help.  The second I say I am cooking or washing dishes you go over to get your little chair and pull it over the counter and then always say "I'll help you!" or "I'll show you!"  You're Miss Manners.  Never ever missing an opportunity to say thank you...and always saying WELCOME! when I tell you thank you.  You love before bedtime snuggles on the couch and will bring me the covers and say "cuddle me, cuddle me!"
I wish I could bottle up this little voice of yours and the way you pronounce things like "weeetle baby."  So stinkin cute.  You have a love love for "wip goss" and are always checking my make up bag and everyones purses for a stash.  The way you love to get dressed up, put on your shoes and bows and then always say "go show daddy!"    You love Grandpa's old car and are always asking daddy to take you for a ride, crying when its time to get out.  The way when we say our dinner time prayers you hold your sweet baby hands together so quietly but always squeal AMEEEEN at the end.  The list could go on and on.  But these are a few of our favorites.

Dear Brynn, your second birthday letter.

Dearest Brynn,

Here we are another year later, time to write your second birthday letter. How could this be that you are already two??? You would think I would get used to this or this would get easier on me know this whole you getting older business. ..but it doesn't.  We have been at this mommy daughter business for two years now and still, still you are my little baby.  I don't think that will ever change.

I can still remember your birth like it was yesterday.  I think that precious day will be forever imprinted in my memory. You were so perfect, every single little inch of you.  We often look back on old pictures and think back to those newborn days, your daddy and I.  So much has changed, yet so much of you is the same.  You are still so attached to me, so needy yet very independent. I can see my baby disappearing right before my eyes, your little chunky cheeks shrinking, and your little body getting longer and leaner with each passing week. Ugh, what I would do to be able to bottle you up and all the little features.  Sweet girl you are growing up, becoming more of a toddler with every blink I take.

Brynn, sometimes I wish I could just freeze time. Make it stop.  Just hold on to these precious little childhood memories forever.  My heart yearns that you will forever love me the way that you do right now.  In your eyes I am everything, the center of your whole world.  I never want to forget the way you look at me, the way you call out to me from your carseat that you can't reach me, and that you need hugs.  The way you wrap those little arms around me and say hug me! or tighter tighter, squeeeeze!  The way your little voice says wuuub you and the sweet little smooches you place on my lips before we place you in your crib at night.  You will never, ever know what you do to me, how you  make my heart swell with the more love and joy then I ever knew was possible.

They tell you that you do not know what love is until you have a child, and those words could not be more true.  There are not enough words or ways to ever tell you how much you mean to your daddy and I.  It's just impossible.  This love is truly deeper than I could have ever imagined.

Thank you Brynn, for making us parents.  Thank you for your love and all the happiness that you bring into this little family of ours.

We love you to the moon and back baby girl,
Mommy and Daddy

Weekend Happenings

We spent almost all of this weekend outside, aside from already being 90 degrees it was gorgeous! Only one teeny tiny little lonely cloud in the whole sky.

Saturday we went to a little family shin dig at Steve's fire station. All the different stations compete against each other in different fire games for awards and trophies while everyone cheers them on.  Afterwards they have a big bbq and activities for the kiddos.

Brynn of course totally lost her marbles when she realized horses were there and took numerous rides around the little circle on both horses. Even after her countless turns riding there were still extreme water works upon leaving them. Girls love of horses runs deeeeeep!

We tried to distract her with a little tour of the fire truck. That was also short lived. Once out of the truck more tears ensued over the horses. We talked about these horses the whole way home. Nearly impossible to console her sweet little soul.

We spent the rest of the weekend swimming in the pool all day and chomping on some fresh watermelon. I'm pretty sure with it already feeling like full on summer over here that this is how we will be spending the rest of the next few months!

Hammock Beach

We just got back from the best little spur of the moment quickie vacation. We were just hangin around the house last week when we got the very best phone call. Steve's family was in town just a few hours away vacationing at the beach and wanted to know if we would come up and join them for weekend in the extra room they had. Well, heck yea we will! And just like than an ordinary week turned awesome!!!

We drove up Thursday after Steve got off of work and came home Saturday.  Brynn was able to meet her little cousin for the first time and it was just precious to watch.  They loved each other instantly and were totally inseparable. I think also the fact that she had the same name as her current favorite princess totally added to the obsession. ;)

We just hung around, laid by the pool, visited the beach, ate good food and enjoyed great company. It was such a nice opportunity to catch up with people we hardly ever get to see.

Waking up to this gorgeous sunrise wasn't too shabby either!

Brynn was just over the moon happy. Just looking at the smile on her face in all these pictures warms my heart. She was just beaming ear to ear the whole weekend.  She woke up both mornings at the crack of dawn saying "seeeee friends!"

Ughhh...take me back.  It was perfection.  The kind of weekend you want to rewind over and over.

20 weeks and half way there.

It couldn't be more true what they say about the second time around....
How it flies by and you don't even quite realize it, and you don't spend every second thinking about it and documenting every little thing.
I mean life with a toddler is caaah-raa-zyyy.
How did I even get to 20 weeks already!  It's totally mind blowing.

The mom guilt already sets in a little, knowing that I documented every little thing with my first pregnancy on this blog, and this one, well not so much.  The days are so full and before you know it, it's time for dinner and bath and bed time and frankly my bed time right after that.  Mama is waaay tired come 8:00.  Blogging is something that just kinda gets pushed to the way side at the end of it all.

However, we are totally over the moon about this little girl.  I am so so so excited for our family to grow.  I am so so so excited to hold a snuggly little new born again and smell that sweet baby smell.  My heart could burst with happiness thinking about having two sister girls and the incredible special bond they will have with each other.

So, here we are at 20 weeks...

I am much much more tired this time around.  I didn't think that would be the case seeing that I used to watch over 20 little ones every day compared to the just one that I care for now, but I am.  I guess being able to check out at 3:00 last time and prop my feet up and veg out for the night and on weekends really does make a difference.

My body hurts ten times more.  My sciatic is really acting up this time...and that shit is no joke.  Can straight up bring you to your knees!  I guess it's this 30 pound princess who loves mamas snuggles.
I am trying to pick Brynn up less and less these days, but sometimes the need for lovins' just outweigh the pain.

We had our 20 week scan last week and everything is going beautifully.  It was so great to get to see her so much bigger these days and moving all around.  It really makes it so much more real.

I'm up around 8 lbs so far, which is pretty spot on to my last pregnancy at this time.  Little girl officially has a name, although just like last time, we have chosen not to share until her birthday and let her name be a surprise.  It just a little something that keeps her day even that more special.  We have nursery colors and furniture picked out and that will start after big sisters birthday next week.

Big things happening over here and life just keeps getting sweeter.

Easter 2015

Easter crept up on us so quickly this year!  I found myself trying to cram in every ounce of festiveness in the week prior.  We spent our days  making some crafts, baking some bunny bait, having a fun egg lunch and dying our eggs.

Brynn enjoyed every bit of it.  She is so involved in every little step of every little thing these days.  Have I mentioned before that this might just be my most favorite age yet?  She is just getting more fun by the day, my little Brynnie girl.

The bunny left this special girl a special little basket complete with some yummy goodies, some bracelets, chalk, play doh, bubbles and some new sand toys. She woke up and followed the egg trail that the bunny left her allllll the way to her basket and took that sucker apart to see all the goods!

We spent the afternoon at my mom and dad's house with my brother and his girlfriend for an egg hunt and a yummy dinner.  Last year Brynn sat down between each egg to open it up and eat the goodies inside taking her sweet time.  This year, she was running egg to egg collecting them all so carefully in her basket.

And can we take a moment to just bask in the cuteness that is this Easter dress and crown.  I could just eat her up.  Every single ounce of this baby girl.

It was a beautiful day to spend with family and reflect on our Savior and his sacrifice for us.   And now, with Brynn being at an age where she can talk about Jesus....and how he died and came back, I mean is there anything sweeter in this world than little baby voices talking about Jesus??? I just couldn't be more in love.
