Summertime...& the livings easy!

Something about summertime just makes me so happy inside.  I love the warm days and the long nights.  I love tank tops and flip flops.  I love pool days and beach days & just spending as much time outside as possible.  This summer I have been spending way more time indoors than I ever have in previous summers.  Having a newborn makes spending all day every day at the beach a little impossible.  & while spending much of my day inside staring at the beautiful sunshine outside is a little depressing..I am trying to get baby & me out as much as you can with a wee one.

We take the occasional walk here and there..mostly to walk fur sister.  But even that is getting too hot & baby squints and is not so fond of that sun in her eyes!

So we have taken to the pool as one of our weekly outings.  We can't do it daily...and we can't do it for hours...but we get what we can get. amen.

I park the little diva in her stroller under the shade and lay out until she wakes up from her nap.  Once she does we park ourselves in a chair in the shallow end of the water and dip our tosies in.

But first, it is always crucial that we are dressed right for the occassion!  Brynnie has to be the sassiest miss priss at the pool. duh.
& clearly she is just as into it as mama!

But this day...we took it to a whole nother level! Brynn wore her first ever bathing suit.  (we have previously just been rockin' summer inspired onsies) & wait for it....we even put half of our bodies down in the water.  It was so much fun...and I think she even kind of liked it.  Well, she didn't cry and that to me, means she likes it!

Daddy and nana were there and it was so much fun.  My heart was melting at all the cuteness and it just felt like it could explode!  Funny how such simple things can make you so happy.  I am finding now that I live for seeing Brynn experience life.  It is so amazing to see her learn new things each day.  Discover the world around her.  Learn something that she didn't know just the day before.  It is so much fun.  I am looking forward to all these firsts.
